August update

After spending a depressing half-week in Greenville at a training class, I came back home for the weekend to Nalani and all four kids. We had a relaxing weekend, only going out to the mall briefly on Saturday. Early Sunday morning greeted us with much lower temperature and humidity. It was actually pleasant to be outside!

Matthew helped me do some long-overdue yardwork, while Jessica cleaned the house. Nalani made some progress painting Jessica's room, and Kendall and Wallace went to church with their mom.

Yesterday afternoon, Grandmama and Grandaddy came to visit. Grandaddy took us all out for a wonderful lunch at the Lizard's Thicket, after which we shopped at the craft supply store for awhile. On the way back home, I stopped at the grocery store for some ice cream and cones, and we treated ourselves to some desert before it was time for Grandmama and Grandaddy to leave.

I don't know if everyone knows, but Nalani got some full-time employment at a local vet's office. This vet has 2 locations in town and specializes in cats. It's called, appropriately enough, The Cat Clinic. Go figure.

Kendall and Wallace have started thier second week of school. Jessica and Matthew will be starting on the 17th.
